Biography:

Emeritus Professor, University of Montpellier, Institute Charles Gerhardt Montpellier - Aggregates, Interfaces & Materials for Energy (ICGM/AIME, UMR CNRS 5253). He was Full Professor @ the University of Montpellier and Head of Laboratory of Polymer Science and Advanced Organic Materials - LEMP/MAO (1972-2007), was Distinguished ‘’Michael Fam’’ visiting Professor at the School of ‘’Materials Science and Engineering’’, National Technical University, Singapore 2002-2018 and ERA Chair of EU project @ “Petru Poni” Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry, Iasi, Romania (2018-2021). He is Chair of the Polyimides Conferences aka STEPI since 1987 which takes place every other 3 years at University of Montpellier; STEPI12 was in June 4-7 2023. His present activities concern High performance composites and nanocomposites, Interface/interphase, UV & EB coatings, Biomaterials, Green Chemistry and Aircrafts manufacturing. He has published 16 books and 12 patents. He has advised nearly 95 M.S. and 52 Ph.D. students with whom he has published over 450 per reviewed papers. More than 45 years’ experience in Polymer Science with 10 years in the industry: IBM USA (1981-1986), MOD UK (1975-1976), SNPA/Total France (1963-1967).
